“What's it got to do with me?” - CIVILARC exhibition for CSOs

Civilisation coalition published the CIVILARC call for applications for CSOs to create artworks picturing solidarity for the ARC billboard exhibition. We received 32 submissions and hosted an online rapid dating event for CSOs and designers to make finding each other more accessible and encourage cooperation. Eventually, the jury found 4 of the submitted artworks worthwhile to be exhibited. Between Sept. 9 and Oct 9 2022, among the ~100 exhibited artworks of the annual ARC contest, approximately 250-350,000 visitors have seen the winners of CIVILARC in a popular park in Budapest.

The winners were:

1) Amnesty International Hungary

2) From Street To Home Association

3) With the Power of Humanity

4) Clean Air Action Grup

A short excerpt from the original call:

Many people think of solidarity as a duty, yet we often fail to fulfill it. Often we are afraid to stand up for our fellow human beings in distress, because we are taking a risk ourselves. Are we bad people or just self-interested? Or are we simply careless? And what is it like when we realise that doing good is actually very good!?

For thousands of civilians, solidarity is a source of joy, a source of strength, a source of love. If someone, they can show people that solidarity is good for those who are in solidarity!
