1% campaign 2023

Between 1-22 May, the following three posters appeared on the several bus lines in Budapest:

Bödőcs Tibor, Hungarian stand up comedian’s video is about a fictional character from state administration trying to convice people not to offer their tax 1% for CSOs, but leave it instead in the hand of the state. In it’s charicature Bödőcs ridicules the unnecessary and extremely expensive state expenditures spent for with the taxpayer’s money.

Other key elements of the campaign were:

  • we collaborated with influencers to promote 1% tax donation and reached hundreds of thousands of people with their help

  • dozens of CSOs used the graphic materials created in our campaign

  • we cooperated with the Civil Office of the Municipality of Budapest and placed more than 300 awareness-raising posters encouraging the 1% tax donation on city buses, reaching thousands of people using public transport in the city. More posters were placed in the interiors of companies owned by the Municipality of Budapest, and pieces of news were posted in their internal newsletters, in the Mayor's newsletter and on the Mayor's Facebook page, reaching tens of thousands of people altogether.
